Pastor Ricky Garcia from Community Baptist Church in Victoria Texas and I just did a bonus episode for the underdog, the dark horse, the unsung pastor and those who have captured the beauty of attending a smaller church. When a pastor at a smaller church gets compared to the larger churches in his area, it can feel like we’re failing. We watch families walk in with expectations not being met leading to us walking out with discouragement. And it doesn’t help that there are hundreds, if not thousands of books, seminars, blogs, and podcasts on how to become a larger church. So here it is, a conversation about the advantages that only a small church can carry—advantages that might shock you. This episode answers many questions you have on what a biblical church is suppose to look like—revealing that there are a number of churches not doing it correctly. So if you’re a pastor, deacon or a church member who serves at a smaller church, be of good cheer, you just might be experiencing the Christian life you’ve read about in the Book of Acts.
